How we verify suppliers.

A badge only helps if it is true. The Verified badge appears after our team has checked three things, and we take it away if they stop being true.

The three checks

What "Verified" means.

01

A company email address

The supplier confirms an address at its own website's domain through a link we email. Free email providers don't count: anyone can open one.

02

A trade licence or registration

The supplier uploads its trade licence or company registration. Our team reads the document and checks that it matches the company on the profile. The document itself stays private.

03

A certificate or brand authorization

At least one current certificate (for example a quality management or class approval) or a maker's dealer or service authorization, reviewed by our team.

The other labels

What the rest of the profile tells you.

  • Founding member: one of the first 50 suppliers listed in a port, with Premium free for 12 months. It says when they joined, not that we checked them. Label
  • Credentials marked "Verified": a single certificate our team reviewed. Others are as the supplier entered them. Documents
  • Ratings: shown only when buyers have reviewed a completed order. We never import or invent ratings. Reviews
  • No badge: the supplier is listed and its details are its own. Ask for documents before you award. Listed

Limits

What verification doesn't cover.

Verification checks identity and documents at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee of prices, delivery, quality or solvency. Always confirm commercial and payment details through trusted channels before you pay or deliver.
