Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, business email, telephone number, company details, locations, products, services, credentials, files and other profile content. We also store procurement activity you create through the platform, such as RFQs, quotations, messages and purchase-order records.

When you use vslProcure, we may receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, sign-in activity, referring website and general location. Supplier profile analytics use a one-way visitor identifier rather than storing the visitor’s raw IP address in the profile event.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the platform, publish company listings, match buyers and suppliers, support procurement workflows, provide notifications and support, measure platform activity, prevent misuse and improve vslProcure.

Public company profiles

Information added to a published supplier profile may be visible publicly and indexed by search engines. Only publish business information and files that your company is authorised to share. Account credentials, private messages, RFQs and quotations are not made part of the public profile.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with platform users when needed for a transaction or request, with service providers that host or support vslProcure, or where required for security, legal compliance or the protection of rights. Service providers receive only the access reasonably needed to perform their work.

Cookies and analytics

vslProcure uses an essential sign-in cookie to keep accounts secure and sessions active. It is needed for the site to work and is not used for advertising.

To understand visits and improve the website we use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies, and our own cookieless visit statistics. We also run our own A/B tests of page wording, which remember the version you saw in your browser's local storage. Analytics and tests are not loaded for automated browsers and crawlers. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

Optional browser notifications are activated only when you choose to allow them and can be disabled in your browser.

Retention and security

We retain information while an account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes or meet legal requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may update company and account information through your workspace and manage available notification preferences. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete personal information. Requests are handled subject to applicable law and any records we must retain for legitimate business, security or legal reasons.

International use

vslProcure serves a global maritime network. Information may therefore be processed or accessed in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards and requirements that apply to the service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
